A Dog Needs a Loving Home

Meet Major, a 4-year-old terrier/pitbull mix who has spent over 260 days in an Indiana shelter. Despite being described as “sweet and sensitive,” he continues to be overlooked by potential adopters. Originally brought in as a stray last summer, his original owners never returned for him.

Shelter staff have affectionately nicknamed him “Major hunk” and “Major heartthrob.” Major loves to play and has a particular fondness for his Jolly Ball, but constant rejection has dimmed his spirits. To help ease his stress, he’s been moved from the kennels to a visiting room, but what he truly needs is a forever home.

Major would do best in a family without young children or cats, and a meet-and-greet with other dogs is recommended due to his strength. While he might not fit into every home, there is undoubtedly a perfect match out there for him.

Let’s rally together to find Major a loving family. If you’re ready for a strong, playful companion, Major could be the one for you! Spread the word and consider adopting him from the Humane Society of Hamilton County. Together, we can brighten Major’s life. ❤️
